FAQ

How many photos will we receive?

You will receive all the best images - I typically deliver around 100 photos from a one hour session.

What should I wear?

I encourage you to wear something that you feel like yourself in! If you're comfortable, it will show! Some choose to dress up, while others like to keep it casual. That's entirely up to you!

I recommend choosing colors that complement each other, rather than dressing everyone in different tones of the same color. Subtle, neutral, earthy tones always photograph well. If you’re having trouble deciding or have any specific questions, let’s talk before your shoot!

When should we schedule our newborn shoot?

I recommend doing photos around the 2 week mark, but have done them as early as 5 days old and as late as 3 months old. I will pencil you in 2 weeks after your due date and we can adjust as needed depending on how you're feeling!

Can I bring my dog to the shoot?

100% yes! They're part of the family, too!

When should I schedule my maternity session?

I recommend sometime between 28-34 weeks, but the decision is ultimately yours!

What's your turnaround time?

I do my best to deliver your album within 2-3 weeks.

Do you give location recommendations?

Absolutely! I have several favorite outdoor locations around Denver you can chose from. If you would like to do an indoor shoot, but don’t want to use your home, I like to shoot out of The Photo Loft and Studio One, both of which have an additional rental fee.

What should I have ready for my newborn shoot?

Photos can be done anywhere with good natural light, such as the living room, kitchen, nursery, or primary bedroom. Please put away any distracting items you wouldn't want in photos; otherwise, do not feel like your home needs to be perfectly clean! You just had a baby - no judging here! For baby - you will just need 1 newborn outfit and 1 swaddle. I bring everything else!

What if I need to reschedule?

I understand things happen - rain, snow, sick kids, etc. It’s all good! I do my best to stay flexible to find another time that works better for you and your family. Unfortunately, the deposit is non-refundable if you opt to cancel altogether.
